Calling for vaccination is Australia's way of promoting tourism

The "It's Our Best Shot for Travel" campaign has been launched across Australia since August 16. Leaflets promoting this campaign are available in the press, television, online and on social media of "kangaroo country".

According to data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics, in the period 2019-2020, employment in the tourism industry fell by 18% compared to the same period in the previous year.
Although Australia has been relatively successful in containing the Covid-19 epidemic, its vaccination program has had a slow start. As of August 16, only about 20% of the population has been fully immunized with the Covid-19 vaccine.
Ms. Harrison said that TA had released a series of full-page color flyers in all markets in major cities over the weekend to test people's response to the initiative calling for vaccination. prevent Covid-19).
TA also collaborated with the Australian Business Events Council to promote a campaign calling for vaccination against Covid-19.
Peter Shelley, chief executive officer of the Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC) welcomed and said tourism businesses across Australia would respond to TA's campaign.
Mr Shelley said: “Tourism businesses across Australia, from local to urban, are in limbo with no visitors and no uncertain future. The only solution to their predicament is for Australians to get vaccinated."
